In 2010 Daily Bread Kitchen, a non-profit soup kitchen, was started to eliminate hunger in Washington County, Ohio. We have fed over 90,000 nutritious lunches, at no charge, to men, women, and children who are in need of food.
Today we are still hard at work trying to eliminate hunger in our area. Over 100 volunteers from the community participate in preparing and serving lunches, as well as meals for home consumption, some in an emergency situation. The personal contact, recognition, and conversation provided are an important part of our mission as well as the very basic need of food to those less fortunate in a safe and friendly environment.
We depend solely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, organizations, and churches to meet the financial needs that feed thousands of people each year.
